A la riba (On the shore in Catalan) is an independent project by Josep Sarrate, filmed in Gavà in 2024.
The film follows Sara, who, together her partner Júlia, takes their daughter Nora to the beach for the first time. For Sara, this trip represents a major challenge, as she has not been in the sea in years since the death of her brother. Lost in her thoughts, she must choose between confronting her fear and embracing the moment with her daughter and build a sandcastle together.
The shortfilm was shot in both Catalan and Spanish.
